For landlady Joanne Blackham, of the White Hart pub in Gainsborough, the addition of a HireJukebox machine has been like Christmas come early, boosting spirits as well as takings.

“I think there is nothing more welcoming than an open fire and Christmas songs playing,” Blackham enthuses, explaining that this is the first year the Gainsborough pub has been home to a jukebox music system. “It’s really helped,” adds Blackham, “Not just with the profits but the whole ambience of the pub. I think it lifts everyone.”

The White Hart’s landlady was especially pleased to discover how little effort was required to create this festive feel for her pub, given HireJukebox’s pre-programmed Christmas playlists.

“I had planned to purchase a number of Christmas CD’s,” she admits, going on to say that, “When I mentioned this in passing to the collector he told me there was no need for me to buy any CD’s as the Christmas section is switched on automatically at the beginning of December.”
