Ask Marc – Your Jukebox Questions Answered (January 2014)
Our jukebox technician, Marc Bird, answers some of the most commonly asked questions posed by customers on the website.
We’re looking for a jukebox for our social club. Do you have an option where you share the money?
Craig Brown, The Goats Head, West Yorkshire.
Yes. We understand that many people do not want to be committed to a long-term rental contract so we offer flexible profit share deals that won’t cost you a penny at any time.
What happens if the jukebox goes wrong? Is there a cost for service?
Lee Brace, BB’s Bar, Saundersfoot.
Rest assured, service is free of charge and we are on call 365 days of the year. All of our digital jukeboxes have online connections. This means that many calls can be done remotely, within minutes of your call, reducing the wait for a service engineer. Any hardware faults will be fixed on site by one of our qualified engineers, who hold a wide range of spares at all times. Whatever the fault, we will aim to keep jukebox downtime to a minimum so that your customers can continue to enjoy it and it keeps on earning you money.
What is the wait for a jukebox to be installed?
Bruce Robertson, Deans Bowling Club, Livingston.
Once you have confirmed that you wish to proceed with a jukebox from Hire Jukebox, we can usually have your jukebox installed within 7 days.
Does the jukebox play music if nobody is using it?
Julia Fitzgerald, Cumbernauld College.
The jukebox can be set to play background music. Before we install it, we will discuss the type of music you want your customers to hear. We can set up music timers so the music is more upbeat in the evening, for example.
Can the jukebox be put on a stud wall?
Simon Casey, White Hart, London.
Yes, we simply use the correct fixings. Ideally, a solid wall near a mains socket is what we look for, but if this is not the best position, then we will take that extra time and effort to get it right. Jukebox positioning is so important. Our engineers will advise you on either a site survey or installation.
Can we have more Irish music added?
Susan Harp, Red Lion, Northamptonshire.
You can have any extra music added at no extra cost. Pre-installation we discuss any “Venue Favourites” that you want uploaded to the jukebox. We work with you to make the jukebox perfect for your venue. On the same note, if you want any type of music removed, it’s not a problem.
