Walsall Wood Football Club have had a VenueHub jukebox installed at their clubhouse, which they really are fully utilising, by taking advantage of all the great built-in features!

From the outside this looks like any other ordinary clubhouse that you might expect to find at a local sports club, but inside the bar area has been completely transformed into a comfortable, contemporary bar perfect for socialising.

It’s a great spot for celebrating weddings, christenings, birthday parties and other special moments. When you walk inside the club you are immediately hit with the “wow factor, it really is a stunning room.

Walsall Wood Football Club have made great efforts not only to bring in local supporters on match days but also to attract a regular crowd and newcomers by opening during the week. Maximising on what they have by hiring the venue out for private parties, discos, weddings, live bands etc. They even use the space during the weekdays for Zumba classes!

They looked at various ways to attract customers during weekdays and they also considered how to keep them entertained at the weekends. After a group decision, they decided to find a reputable jukebox supplier. Having contacted various jukebox companies, manager John Lee came across the Hire Jukebox website. After having watched the VenueHub jukebox demo video, John knew that this would be the jukebox that the club could benefit from the most.

After contacting our office, we were able to arrange a suitable installation date within the same week. Our jukebox installation is free and this includes wiring and speakers. The club didn’t have an internet or Wi-Fi connection, but this was easily resolved by installing a Mi-Fi dongle.

On installation we discussed with John how we could set up various music zones to suit the venue. The club can now have the music at different volume levels around the room, which creates a nice balance, and are also able to lower the volume in the main bar area to that of the dance floor. We used high quality Sound Leisure SL75 speakers to create an amazing sound throughout. The volume controls are placed behind the bar for the staff to access.

The VenueHub jukebox has a number of amazing features that can be used to interact with both  fans and customers, and the club have certainly made the most of this!

On installation we programmed the jukebox to display the clubs live Twitter feed @walsallwoodfc. This allows their live Twitter feed to displayed on the jukeboxes touchscreen display keeping the local fans updated with all the latest news, action and match photos. The club even have their own hashtag #FTGOTW which stands for “For the good of the wood”. Now anytime a fan adds this hashtag to their tweet it will be shown live on their Twitter timeline on the jukebox.

The VenueHub jukebox has a built-in “On-Screen” advertising feature. To make use of this, the club are now uploading a number of posters in a JPEG format that rotate when the jukebox is not in use. Great for promoting the hire of the venue and other deals such as drinks promotions!

The “Managers Photos” is being used display the latest match photos. Each games photos can be placed into their own photo album allowing fans to look back at the seasons highlights.

The “What’s On” feature is not only being used to inform fans of upcoming fixtures, but also to inform the customers of the weekend entertainment and even the various fitness classes available throughout the week!

The club has Sky and BT Sport installed. The “Sporting Events” feature is being used to inform the customers what games are being shown at the club over the weekend.

The jukebox also has “Live Sports News” feed which can be accessed via the touchscreen display. Great for keeping instantly updated with the latest sporting events from around the world.

The VenueHub jukeboxes real strength though stems from it’s vast music content. With over 5 million tracks available to download on demand it’s easy to see why the VenueHub is the UK’s highest earning jukebox. Customers have a number of different ways to find their music by searching either by artist, track title, genre or even date. Walsall Wood Football Club has gone one step further by connecting the jukebox to new jukebox app “Soundjack“.

The Soundjack app allows you to connect your smartphone, or tablet device to the jukebox and pick and play your favourite songs from the comfort of your chair. The cost for credits via the app remains the same as standard coin-operation. The app is free to download from both iTunes or Google Play, allowing users to purchase jukebox credits via a Paypal account or service provider using Payforit. Free credits are available to new customers!
