Hire Jukebox Creates Peace of Mind for Landlord Rod Fryer in Run-Up to Pub’s Opening Night
Landlord Rod Fryer admits handing over responsibility for setting up the Holly Bush’s new jukebox music system, ready for the pub’s opening night, was a real weight off his mind. As Fryer explains;
“My family and I had been working night and day to prepare for our weekend opening night. As you can imagine there was a lot to do but one thing I didn’t have to worry about was the jukebox.”
While the family-run pub in the small village of Hurley, Atherstone, had previously been forced to close, Fryer saw real potential in transforming it into a real community hub. Alongside completing an extensive refurbishment of the venue, he also recognised the importance of providing the right ambience through music, particularly since many customers had requested a jukebox.
“We are thrilled with the jukebox and the service and support Hire Jukebox have provided, especially at short notice” comments Fryer. “Knowing how important it was to have the jukebox ready for the opening night, they made sure it was installed in time.”
Despite the time pressure, Hire Jukebox considered everything from the placement of the jukebox to the option to separately control music volume in various areas of the bar. Beyond this jukebox and speaker installation service, provided at no extra cost, the team also carefully assessed the music content available through the new jukebox.
“We listen to our customers’ demands and profile the jukebox to suit their venue, taking great time to put together the right music content.” comments Hire Jukebox’s Business Development Manager, Marc Bird. This means alongside the 30,000 pre-installed tracks and automatic weekly playlist updates, venue owners can also make requests for specific tracks, uploaded overnight, for a more personal, engaging service.
As Bird concludes, “Jukeboxes can bring people together. I can imagine there are going to be many great nights to come with this jukebox.”
